Page 62. Right v Wrong

Do you know the difference between right and wrong? I think everybody knows the difference, deep down. Have you ever knowingly/purposefully done something you know to be wrong? I have. When I was first saved, I had never really read the Bible. So, I went out and bought one, a Living Bible. I started reading it on the bus on the way back and forth to work (down town Minneapolis). I was reading with an eye toward “right or wrong”. Was I doing right or wrong according to the Bible. Actually, I thought I was doing pretty well until I got to James 4:17 “To him who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.” Well, needless to say, I was convicted. Did I lose my salvation? No, but I am more careful and watchful now. I actually wrote myself a little note on a 3×5 card that said “Do you have the guts to do what’s right?” All my life I have been a peron who has “pushed a rope” because I have known what’s right. But it seems like an awful lot of people don’t want to do what’s right. What’s been your experience?
