What Christians Need To Know.

How to live the Christian life successfully.

A Biblical View of Life. The Christian’s owner/operator manual.

So, now you’re a Christian or at least you think you are. You think you’ve been born again. Now what???

If you had your life to do over again, would you do anything differently?  I know I would. Well, the Bible tells us that when we become Christians, we are born again.  We get to start over.  It’s a new life.  It’s called the CHRISTIAN life.  This website/blog is dedicated to researching and reporting what Christians NEED to know in order to live the Christian life properly/successfully, that is, in a way that pleases, honors and glorifies God.  Now, having said that, knowing what to do must be accompanied by acting on the knowing.  Doing what we know is right.  We NEED to know and we NEED to act.  The two go together.

What if you’re NOT a Christian?
If you’re reading this and you are not a Christian, please don’t go any further.  Please just leave this site.  This site is  for Christians only.  If you aren’t a Christian and continue, you will just become angry and antagonistic because you won’t understand and you will become argumentative and even hostile.  If you insist on continuing, then read page 2 and carefully consider the scripture passages suggested.  If the Holy Spirit convicts you and draws you into a personal relationship with God, then Praise the Lord and welcome to the Christian life.
Sources
There’s really only one legitimate source of information for Christians as they seek to learn how to live the Christian life properly/successfully.  You all know what it is.  THE BIBLE.  That’s not to say that there is no other source of  information “out there” that addresses this subject.  There are many authors, speakers, teachers, preachers, experts, etc. who think they know how to do this.  Some are right and some are not so right.  While our research may seek answers from some of these “secondary” sources, our primary source will always be the Bible itself.  No other book I know of claims to have been written by God.  While there are many translations of the Bible, we will be using primarily the New American Standard Bible (NASB) but reserve the right to look at other translations where it might be helpful to clarify understanding.

About me
I have been born again.  I have received Christ as my personal savior.  I have been saved from the lake of fire.  I get to spend eternity with Jesus in heaven.  I have acknowledged my sins, confessed them to God and asked Him to forgive me of my sins.  I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins, was buried, was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven where He now sits at God’s right hand.

How We Got Started
As you might suspect, there could be some differences of opinion on this subject (how to live the Christian life).  And certainly there might be a difference of opinion concerning what’s MOST IMPORTANT for Christians to know.  We will eventually get to all of it but where should we start?  In an attempt to get started on the “right foot” I did a little unscientific survey of several friends who I was pretty sure are mature born-again Christians.  I simply asked “What are the ten most important things Christians NEED to know?”  I begin our research/study on the next page with what I have decided is the single MOST IMPORTANT thing Christians NEED to know.  Can you answer this MOST important question?????

How it’s going to work
From time to time (every week or so) I am going to address various issues concerning what I think we (Christians) need to know in order to live our lives in a way that will please the Lord God. Some of these will be “free standing” and some will be part of a larger issue.  For example, I consider page 2 “Are You Sure?” to be a free standing item and will leave it “up” permanently.  However, page 3 deals with a larger issue, “Perspective On The Christian Life”.   Here I want you to address several questions (raised one at a time over several weeks) associated with “perspective”.  Following the final question, I will summarize and draw conclusions to offer the correct answers to all the questions dealing with perspective.  Page 4 will deal with another larger issue and I will raise questions every  week or so in the same way I did with page 3.  Clear as mud??  Turn now to page 2 and get started.
