BRAG!!

You may remember what Rush used to say:  “It ain’t  braggin if you can do it.”  That sounds good-right but I looked it up in my Webster’s and I’m not sure I agree with Rush.

Regardless, you know what bragging sounds and looks like and it doesn’t seem very loving to me.  One way some people brag is by name-dropping.  A while back we were sending part of the winter in Orange Beach, Alabama.  A few years ago, the little church we were attending burned down shortly after we arrived for the winter.  Then the pastor dropped dead on the golf course.  So we looked for a new church and found one that had just hired a new pastor and he was a name dropper.  It was a distraction to his fairly decent preaching.
